General Description of Testosterone Cypionate (Test C)
Testosterone is a hormone synthesized by cells in the testis, ovaries, and adrenal cortex. This hormone is responsible for lots of important physical and mental characteristics in males. Among them: sexual maturation at all stages of life, body fat percentage, bone density, growth mass, facial hair, voice etc. If a male does not produce the needed amount of testosterone, it leads to many negative consequences; such a condition is called hypogonadism. Hypogonadism, or low testosterone condition, should be treated in order to avoid further problems. Currently the most popular treatment of this condition is Testosterone Cypionate (Test C).
Testosterone Cypionate showed up on the US prescription market in the beginning of the 1950’s by the name Depo-Testosterone introduced by Upjohn, now Pharmacia & Upjohn. This company successfully promoted Test C in the US and made this drug popular in the country. However, due to the earlier release of the very similar and slightly longer acting drug Testosterone Enanthate, Testosterone Cypionate never had much success in other countries, and is frequently identified as an American medication. I should note here that Testosterone Cypionate is not better or worse than Testosterone Enanthate. The two compounds are nearly identical in almost every way and can successfully replace each other.
But in this description, we’ll analyze Test C, so let’s dive in. Test C is a synthetically produced testosterone molecule with an attached Cypionate ester that allows the drug to release slowly after an injection. Cypionate esters attached to the testosterone molecule make it less soluble once it is inside of the bloodstream. This makes Testosterone Cypionate a very popular drug for treating disease and among sportsmen, since it allows less frequent injections compared to other forms of Testosterone. Test C has a 100 – anabolic rating and 100 – androgenic.
Effects of Testosterone Cypionate (Test C)
Testosterone Cypionate can be used to treat several different diseases, the most popular of them, hypogonadism – low testosterone levels and various related symptoms in males, and in some cases the drug could be prescribed for bone and weight loss diseases.
For bodybuilders and other sportsmen, Test C could be used for different purposes and in combination with different steroids. In simple words, Testosterone hormones are responsible for masculine traits. By injecting synthetically produced testosterone, your testosterone level goes far beyond normal range, therefore all masculine traits are enhanced which allow you to reach different goals in combinations with the right steroids, diet, and workout.
In detail, the effects of Testosterone Cypionate are:
Enhanced metabolic activity;
Promote nitrogen retention in the muscles;
Increased level of IGF-1 (insulin like growth factor) in muscle tissue
Increased activity of satellite cells;
Protect muscles from the catabolic (muscle wasting) glucocorticoid hormones;
Increased red blood count cell production;
Promotes glycogen synthesis;
Thanks to those effects, Test C could be used to achieve many different goals. It is very popular for the off-season athletes because the drug helps to build more mass with a lower amount of fat. Test C also works well for cutting cycles, helping to protect lean muscle tissue during caloric deficit. The drug could also be used for performance enhancement because of its ability to promote recovery and endurance.
Side effects of Testosterone Cypionate
Any form of Testosterone is extremely well-tolerated for most men because this is the hormone that is already produced in the body. With dosages from 250 to 500 mgs weekly, most users won’t have any side effects or they will be insignificant and manageable, though a small percentage of users can have severe side effects even with low dosage. Overall, everything depends on genetic predisposition and general state of health.
The most common side effects of Test C, like from any other form of testosterone, is connected with high estrogen levels. Since testosterone aromatases into estrogen in the body, increased testosterone level leads to increased estrogen level. High estrogen levels promote gynecomastia and excess water retention. In order to reduce estrogen levels, you can use Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs) such as Tamoxifen (Nolvadex) and Aromatase Inhibitors (AIs) such as Anastrozole.
Test C can promote dihydrotestosterone related side effects that include: acne, hair loss, and prostate enlargement. In order to combat dihydrotestosterone related side effects, you can use a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor such as Finasteride (Propecia).
Another side effect that will definitely occur when using Test C is a reduction in natural testosterone production. When you use synthetic testosterone for enhanced performance purposes, your testosterone level goes higher than normal. Your body will notice it and start sending signals to your pituitary gland to stop producing natural testosterone, so your production of natural testosterone during the cycle will be close to zero. Once the cycle is over and your body stops receiving synthetic testosterone, the process of producing natural testosterone will start recovering. Full recovery can take a few months and you definitely don’t want to be in a low testosterone condition for that long. To speed up natural testosterone production, most athletes use post cycle therapy (PCT). In most cases, it’s Tamoxifen (Nolvadex) or Clomid. The length and dosage of PCT should be determined by the cycle, if the cycle was long with many different steroids, additional PCT medication may be added.
Testosterone Cypionate isn’t recommended for women, but in case of such use it can lead to an enlarged clitoris and irregular menstrual periods.
Other side effects are more rare but still possible and include:
Increased LDL (bad cholesterol) level, decreased HDL (good cholesterol) level
Increased blood pressure
Deepening of the voice
Excessive hair growth all over the body
Mental/mood changes (anxiety, depression, increased anger)
Dosage of Testosterone Cypionate (Test C)
Real Testosterone Cypionate is available only in an injectable form. Test C is the most popular prescribed drug in the US used to treat low testosterone conditions. According to statistics, around twenty one million men in the US alone have such a condition, some of them due to their age while others have it congenitally. Low testosterone conditions severely affect life quality and should be treated. Moreover, it leads to other severe diseases such as Alzheimer’s, diabetes, osteoporosis, heart attack, and many others. In order to treat low testosterone conditions, doctors usually prescribe dosages from 100 mgs to 200 mgs once per 7-10 days. Such dosage is supposed to completely resolve the problem. To make sure that you use the right dosage, you can always run a blood test.
For performance enhancement purposes, the dosage of Test C usually starts from 250 mgs per week and goes up to crazy and unbelievable amounts like 2000 mgs per week for professional bodybuilders. Since Test C is a long acting drug, one injection per week is usually enough, however many bodybuilders believe that 2 smaller equal injections per week are more efficient. The reason for that is to keep an equal testosterone level throughout the cycle without peaks and recessions. It is also possible to reduce side effects because you are injecting smaller amounts of the drug for your body to deal with it.
The most common dosages of Testosterone Cypionate are 250 mgs and 500 mgs per week. 250 mgs is the typical dose for users who are trying to maintain a healthy testosterone level while using other steroids such as Dianabol, Winstrol, and Turinabol etc. 500 mgs is the common dosage for those who want benefits from a high testosterone level, on average that dosage increases testosterone levels by 10 times.
The length of use of Testosterone Cypionate typically is not shorter than 8 weeks and could last a lifetime. For low testosterone condition treatment, it’s always a lifetime treatment since you do not recover your natural testosterone production but just replace it with synthetic testosterone. For performance enhancement, the length of the cycle depends on the goal, since Test C is a slow acting drug. So, the minimum duration of usage should be 8 weeks. The maximum length is also not limited and many professional bodybuilders never get off of testosterone.
If you do not plan to use Testosterone Cypionate cycle for life, a post cycle therapy (PCT) is required in order to not remain in a low testosterone condition for too long.
Test C is not recommended for women when it comes to enhancement performance. In some rare cases the drug can be prescribed to treat some conditions in women, but it will be in very small doses and should be monitored closely by a specialist.
How to buy Testosterone Cypionate (Test C)
Testosterone Cypionate is available on both the prescription and black market. In order to buy Test C legally in the US, you’ll have to obtain a prescription from your doctor. However, even if you have a doctor friend he won’t be able to prescribe the necessary amount of the drug for performance enhancement purposes. Therefore, most athletes in the US have to purchase Testosterone Cypionate via the black market.
The black market is divided into online and offline dealers. Both of them have their advantages and disadvantages. Buying Test C online is the easiest and most common way of obtaining the drug, however you have to find the right store that sells only authentic drugs from reliable brands because counterfeit production and home-based labs with low quality products are dangerous for your health. Additionally, you can just get scammed by frauds, unfortunately their number only grows every year.
We recommend purchasing Test C in our online store. We only sell high quality products that are produced in fully certified labs and their authenticity can be verified by the unique protection codes on the ampoules or vials. We offer fast delivery and reasonable prices. Our friendly support staff will be glad to answer any additional questions regarding Testosterone Cypionate or any other drugs that we sell.
